"Interning with Bobbi was a turning point in my music therapy education. Bobbi not only helped me to master barre chords and leading singing for large groups, she aided in the development of
my confidence as a music therapist. She always had words of encouragement and was incredibly supportive, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I’m grateful to her for all of her guidance."

"Mrs. Adler's internship was a fantastic Music Therapy experience. It offered continuous support and supervision. I was able to see my own ongoing growth as a music therapist as well as an individual. Mrs. Adler's internship gave me the opportunity to work therapeutically with various populations in group and 1:1 settings. I also learned the essential skills in operating a private music therapy practice. As a professional music therapist working with developmental infants, teens, and adults, I am grateful to have worked with such an outstanding individual and colleague. "

"My experience with Bobbi during my internship was indeed a good experience. I felt the ability to work with three different populations encouraging and very helpful for the future of my professional life. In the field of Music Therapy there is quite a variety of populations we can choose to specialize in. I felt that one of the opportunities that Bobbi offered was a chance to experience, skilled nursing with seniors, developmentally delayed in three levels, and lock-down psychiatric. I was hoping to work with some children but at least with these three different populations I was able to see the plus and the minus of each, which in turn helped me create creative ideas with each. When creating a session plan within these three different clients there were subdivisions that were drawn be it working with verbal and non-verbal, responsive, non-responsive etc. Within these parameters I was also able to see how a private practice works with the various facilities and how important it is to have good communication with the directors of activities as well as other staff members of the different facilities. Paying close attention to the people skills which are so important regarding interaction with the clients but ever so more important, the staff with which you have to work with. These things are invaluable to experience and I thank Bobbi for the opportunities given me to grow in confidence and also giving me the ability to see what I am better at and where I need self-improvement. All this I felt helped me define myself a little more clearly and be able to open my own Private MT Business."

"Bobbi Adler is the Clinical Supervisor par excellence! Though I began my internship with very little knowledge of the geriatric population and their needs, through the process of Bobbi's mentoring I gathered an incredible amount of information and repertoire, as well as gained a world of practical experience. Her method is supportive, caring, and challenging of the student to be her/his best self. By the end of my internship I was confident that I had successfully developed the tools of a trained Music Therapist. Thank you, Bobbi, for always!"
